Delicate color for merlot. Nose of candied cherries violet and fresh herbs. Lush, velvety body with grippy tannins. Flavors of cherry pie, plum, cocoa, leather and clove.

Rutherford Hill, 2013 Napa Valley Barrel Select, Red Blend

Nose of tobacco, wet leaves, and cherry. Lush mouth feel with papery tannin. Flavors of cherry, raspberry, cinnamon, clove and nutmeg. Medium long finish.

Citrus and white flower nose. Flavors of peach, lime, mandarin, honeysuckle, a tiny hint of petrol. Intense limestone minerality, good acidity and a long finish.

Red apple and pear nose. Flavors of over-ripe pear, lime pith, chalk with integrated acidity. This is an exciting expression of pinot grigio.

Earthy, slightly shy nose. Flavors of fresh plums, cherry, strawberry, earth, leather with papery tannin and a forward minerality. Decent acidity. A bit light on the mid-palate.

Alois Lageder, 2010, Kzafuss, Pinot Noir

Forest floor, decaying leaves nose. Flavors of fresh bing cherry, leather, oaky spices and bold acidity. Tannins that are a bit forward along with good minerality and acid. This wine needs a few years cellaring yet.
